Gravely 1138 manual

The first manuals and parts lists posted on this site were from a large collection acquired by Michael Koch, who scanned them, converted them to PDF format, and sent them to me on CD.

Since then I've added a large number from my own collection, plus manuals donated by a large number of Gravely enthusiasts. Richard Cashman's contribution to the site is especially noteworthy because in addition to contributing scans of manuals from his own collection, he has also reworked many of the PDF files already on the site to improve their quality and reduce their size.

Many other Gravely enthusiasts have also contributed manuals from their own collections, but unfortunately I haven't kept good records of who contributed what so can't list them all here. On behalf of the entire Gravely community, many thanks to all who have contributed! When you click on one of the manual names, the corresponding PDF file should download to your computer.

Some of the files are very large, so may take a very long time to download. Please be patient. Once the download is complete and the file is on your computer, what happens next depends on how you have your computer and Web browser configured.

Depending on which Web browser you use, the PDF file might open for viewing right within the browser. A red dash next to a part name means it is not interchangeable.

A green dash means it is interchangeable. A yellow bracket spanning a group of parts means they are interchangeable as an assembly. On most pages these notations are too faint to see on the digital copy.

I'm investigating ways to remedy that. This one has "" written in pencil on the cover, but the form number is "MS", the parts lists on its pages show many parts for tractors as different from the then-current parts, most of the photos show the post single-filler fuel tank, and the PTO operating instructions are for the post PTO control.

Later editions of the small-format manual add suffix letters to the "MS" form number, for example "MSD". This one accompanied a Model L serial number delivered new on August 10, Click here to download an enlarged version. It is a larger file Includes the MA Snow Blower, so is probably or Gravely Convertible 7.

Letter from a dealer describing how to free a stuck valve. Undated, but appears to be late s or early s. Most information also applies to the revised version and later , but see also the Convertible 7. Very strange!
