Lost coin game




















Use this elementary Bible game for kids to help them understand how God seeks them, just like in the parable of the lost coin. Beforehand, spread out one or two bales of hay on the grass. Sprinkle several pennies into the hay and toss the hay around. When children arrive, encourage them to search through the hay to find a lost coin.

Whenever a child finds a coin, lead all the children in celebrating. To add interest to the game, have the person who is "it" dress in a costume to look like a shepherd. If coin is not found right away, the teacher can say they are getting hot or cold to point children in the right direction.
